To Spell & Back – Fate Weaver Book 4 – Now available on Amazon – Click Here
Hello everyone,
I hope you’re all enjoying your spring, whatever it may look like in your part of the world! Regardless of whether you’ve been enjoying sunshine for weeks or are just starting to see a few daffodils poking their merry heads out of the soil, spring marks a new beginning. It’s time to come out of hibernation, head outside (with your trusty Kindle eReader of course), and breathe in some fresh air.
For me, it’s also a time for resolutions. I know there’s no way in Hades I’m going to get off my butt and start doing anything on January 1st. It’s cold and snowy, there are leftover treats from the holidays squatting in my bread box, and let’s face it–bathing suit season is still months away. But spring really gets the blood pumping, and always motivates me to start new habits.
So, for the past couple of months, I have made it a goal to get back into my (seriously lapsed) yoga practice–and let me tell you, I have noticed a change in my body as well as my work. Some of my favorite passages in To Spell & Back (and a couple of ideas for book 4!) came to me while I was relaxing in Savasana. Last week, I attended a wonderful gentle yoga class with my best friend, Alexander, and after class I received the ultimate validation: the instructor said “I can tell you practice yoga.” Yay!
It’s easy–as a mother or a wife, or just a woman or a person in general–to feel like we don’t get enough credit for the things we do. Sometimes something as simple as an acknowledgement can mean so much! Try to validate someone in your life today–who knows, maybe it’ll come back around 🙂
